Mateo Sanz Lanz - Windsurfing finishes 8th of the #Tokyo2020 Olympic Games, with an excellent 3rd place at the Medal Race. Gstaad Yacht Club windsurfer showed an excellent week in Enoshima! Congratulations to his coach since always Asier Fernandez. Beautiful team work!

Mateo 1st Swiss sailor in the Medal Race

Mateo Sanz Lanz finished 8th overall in Enoshima (JAP) obtaining the qualification for the race medal to take place on Saturday, 30 July 2021. Mateo is keeping his ambition alive in this major sport event! The GYC and its members will be following live Mateo’s performance from the GYC Clubhouse.

Vice World Championship title in the U21 classification for GYC member Joshua Richner and Nilo Schärer (TYC)

Last week in Gdynia, Poland, the Junior World Championship of the three Olympic speed disciplines 49er, 49erFX and Nacra 17 came to an end. Two teams were sailing for Switzerland, the 49er team with Joshua Richner (GYC) and Nilo Schärer (TYC) and the 49erFX team with Sophie Mosegaard and Fiona Schärer (TYC).
